FSAE Michigan – Day 1: Tech Inspection

On a usual rainy Michigan day, the team’s first of three waves inbound for the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) kicked-off their 4 day FSAE Michigan competition preparing and participating in tech inspection. The day got off to an early start as the team anticipated a long and densely packed “Take-a-Number” line at the opening gates of MIS in Brooklyn, MI . After receiving a number and setting up the paddock for an exciting yet stressful week of competition, the team continued to make last minute preparations to the car. With the rest of the reinforcements on the way, the team entered tech inspection ready for any news they were about to receive. Unfortunately, the tech judges found minor issues with the car which ultimately led to a failed first attempt. The team is confident that these slight alterations won’t take much time, and the car will be set and ready for a successful full day of static events tomorrow.
