Car #81 was an entirely new chassis for 1991. It made the most dramatic use of a wing that had ever been seen at the Formula SAE competition. The rules regarding wings were then changed after this car was run. This car was able to place 1st in the acceleration event. This car was UMR’s first use of a turbo charging device. Lisa Nemecek was also able to place first in the presentation event.
